Project Food

Here's another hodge podge of sorts. . . I'm going to try and get back into taking the three meals a day pictures, but for now here are a couple to catch up on :)

Dinner: Rice and beans with fried plantain chips (Tajadas) and shredded chicken patties in a tomato sauce. They are quite tasty, just a way to change up serving chicken! With orange strawberry tang.

Dinner: Mmmmm doesn't your mouth just start to water looking at it! Rice (with some chicken consume to add a little color and flavor) with a fried chicken leg. On the side are mixed veggies (carrots, chayote, and peppers) boiled with shredded cheese melted on top. The veggies really are to die for!

Dinner: Rice (this was actually left over rice from a night we had enchiladas so the rice has a little bit of ground beef mixed in :) with fried plantains (tostones) they are actually double fried, perhaps making them doubly delicious too! The white stuff is a pipian guiso. Pipian is a white squash like vegetable and its cut up and mixed to make a creamy guiso.

Breakfast: Gallo pinto with an egg, a piece of bread and homemade salsa/tomato sauce :)
