logically a good idea on how to transport a lot of things down the side of a mountain. and this is an eye witness account. . . the picture was not borrowed from a stranger.

I was really excited about putting up a video clip of the girls dancing at church, but it just won't load. . . I've been trying for a couple of weeks now (somewhat pathetic huh) and I've given up, at least there are some pictures though! so here they are, and if for whatever reason the video decides to cooperate I will put it up later :)

our rescue project

Today Joely found a little hummingbird wounded in the gym.

He was barely moving and wouldn't open his eyes :(

But obviously in a house full of kids (mostly girls nonetheless) we couldn't just leave him. So we made him some sugar water- and he DRANK and drank and drank and drank and then he opened his eyes!





Then he got so much strength, he tried to fly! but he didn't make it too far . . . so Mary scooped him back up

The girls gave him some more loving.

We made him a little home so he can't hurt himself by trying to fly away. (The home is complete with a sugar water bath, a flower from outside and a strainer lid so he gets adecuate air circulation)

And now. . . what??? any advice??? I guess we'll just wait until he gets strength up enough to fly away!

there is that saying that says a picture is worth a thousand words, so i will just let them describe the glorious weekend we had at the Christian Women's Fellowship retreat at Montelimar :)
